Ingredients: alberta grass fed and finished beef tallow infused with homegrown sweetgrass + foraged wild sage, organic jojoba oil, rosehip oil, olive squalane, raw alberta honey, + vitamin e oil

 

Fouin dodeur + L’aarbr saent in Michif, the language of the Métis. As an ode to my ancestry, I have used these special plants in this new creation. Wild sage harvested in our coulee and sweetgrass from my mom’s garden. Both are found in the western prairies, have similar cultural significance + medicinal properties. Used in smudging and in ceremony by different indigenous cultures to promote purification and positive energy. Sweetgrass has a fragrance of “honey vanilla over the scent of river water and black earth. The sweet smelling hair of Mother Earth.” - a perfect description by Robin Wall Kimmerer, an indigenous botanist and author of Braiding Sweetgrass.

Sage is a more minty, earthy smell that gives a clarifying aura. Both contain anti-inflammatory and microbial properties and have been used by indigenous communities for time immemorial as two of the four sacred medicines.

 

No essential oils added. Safe for everyone including newborns and breast feeding mothers
